RELIEF STARTS HERE! GET WELL STAY WELL!

What To Expect

During your first visit, the Doctor will ask you to provide information about your medical history and will discuss your current problems and concerns with you. She will conduct a thorough examination, which may include posture and gait analysis, joint and muscle testing and safe, low dose X-rays. Based on the outcome of your exam, the Doctor will formulate a diagnosis and individualized treatment plan. (If your condition is not suitable for chiropractic care, the Doctor will refer you to another health care professional.) If the Doctor determines that you can benefit from Chiropractic treatment, she will suggest a treatment plan that consists of four phases: Relief, Corrective, Rehabilitative and Wellness.

The Relief Phase. When your symptoms are most intense, is designed to reduce your symptoms and inflammation. Other therapies, such as heat, soft tissue manipulation, flexion distraction or low-level laser will be applied to relieve pain and promote faster recovery.

• The Corrective Phase. After your initial pain is relieved, continued treatment helps you achieve and maintain increased function and mobility - after your symptoms are gone or significantly improved. (Some patients mistakenly discontinue treatments before or during this phase, which often leads to re-injury and a return of pain and discomfort.)

• The Rehabilitative Phase. After your problem is corrected, continued treatment focus on strengthening the spinal structure and ensuring that correction is maintained. In this phase, you should see increased strength and mobility, as well as increased energy and function.

• The Wellness Phase. Once you have achieved optimal function, you may choose to schedule periodic Chiropractic exams to help maintain health and prevent
new injuries.
